Celtic youngster Karamoko Dembele will train alongside some of the best young players in England during the upcoming international break after being announced today as a participant in the country’s latest U18 squad.
The youth international group will not play any matches in October but will meet at St. George’s Park, the national training centre, for six days of training ground work.
Dembele joins players from Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City amongst others, and is the sole representative of a Scottish side.
The 17-year-old has previously represented Scotland and England at U16 and U17 age levels, but this is the first time in an U18s side.
Now pursuing a path exclusively in the England set-up, the training camp will be an excellent opportunity for him to stand out against some of the region’s brightest talents.

His situation at Celtic remains unclear despite initially featuring in pre-season friendlies and matchday squads this year.
The young attacker was last used as a substitute on 2nd August against Hamilton but hasn’t been seen in a squad at all since the following week when the Bhoys visited Rugby Park.
The teenager continues to train with the first-team squad but clearly isn’t showing enough to be included in Neil Lennon’s plans.
With his contract expiring in 2021, he’s at a critical stage of his development and his Celtic career.

Hopefully, he can earn himself more minutes as the action heats up in multiple competitions over the coming weeks and months.
In other news, Chris Sutton has been winding up Leicester City fans after they avoided Celtic in today’s Europa League draw.
