Celtic are rolling into the new week full of collective optimism for the season following a convincing victory over Kilmarnock yesterday afternoon.

Supporters turning up to Parkhead in their numbers weren’t disappointed as the Bhoys put on a show in Glasgow’s east end, producing a stylish performance that culminated in a 4-0 scoreline for the hosts.

Kasper Schmeichel made his competitive Celtic debut and impressed with his distribution, earning praise from John Collins post-match due to his ability to evade the traps and kickstart offensive moves.

Despite the Denmark international being the only debutant against Kilmarnock, Nicolas Kuhn rose to the challenge from the flank, cutting in past several bodies to register his first goal of the campaign just before the hour mark.

Undoubtedly, Celtic laid a marker with a dominant display against the Ayrshire outfit, and the two men in question were quick to share their enjoyment on Instagram.

Kasper Schmeichel feels the love of Celtic fans

Schmeichel has definitely been Celtic’s most high-profile signing of the transfer window so far, and amid his impressive pre-season exploits, intrigue was widespread regarding how he would fare against Kilmarnock.

The 37-year-old lived up to his reputation, providing an assured presence between the sticks and allowing Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales to take the mantle in possession.

Now, he has taken to social media to share his love for the support, captioning his latest Instagram post with the words: “Couldn’t have asked for a better debut. Thanks for the amazing welcome.”

Reciprocating the reception he received from the Celtic fans, you get the impression this is only the start for Schmeichel at Parkhead.

If that is how he feels after Flag Day, imagine how he will feel after experiencing Champions League nights and the Glasgow Derby in Glasgow’s east end. He’ll enjoy his time here, that is for sure!

Nicolas Kuhn reacts after impressive display vs Kilmarnock

German winger Kuhn has arrived into this campaign with a point to prove after failing to nail down a regular starting berth last term; however, any Celtic fan you speak to would agree that he looks to have the bit between his teeth.

His goal made the headlines yesterday, though his willingness to create openings and high level of ball retention contributed to an excellent performance from the former Rapid Vienna man.

Taking to Instagram, Kuhn shared snaps with a caption that read ‘good start of the season’ with a dancing emoji attached, relating to his class goal celebration with Matt O’Riley and Kyogo Furuhashi.

Getting off the mark early, Kuhn has it in his power to become a key player at Celtic this term, with the right flank slot open as things stand.

Hopefully, he can gain a run in the side and show why he was brought to the club in January to much excitement.
