Celtic made it two from two in the Scottish Premiership this season yesterday following a comfortable 2-0 victory over Hibernian.
Showing their levels in a lightning first-half display, Nicolas Kuhn and Callum McGregor got themselves on the scoresheet, the second strike being a potential goal-of-the-season contender.
Once play resumed after the interval, the Bhoys managed the game with relative ease. Kieron Bowie went close to granting the hosts a late reprieve, though he saw his strike come off the upright as Brendan Rodgers’ men kept a second consecutive clean sheet on league duty.
Despite having a mixed record at Easter Road in recent years, Celtic delivered arguably their most imperious performance for a number of years through in Leith.

Kasper Schmeichel barely had a save to make for the visitors. The Denmark stopper has now shared how he is feeling after another brilliant victory for the Bhoys.
Kasper Schmeichel takes to Instagram
Taking to Instagram, Schmeichel illustrated that he is clearly loving life in his new role, sharing pictures from the Bhoys’ away trip to Hibernian with the caption ‘Two from two to kick things off’ (with a green love heart attached) amid the comfortable Easter Road triumph.
Admittedly, the 37-year-old didn’t have much to do with his hands between the sticks. Most of his work came in possession, but it is fair to say he shone via his distribution.
Per Fotmob, Schmeichel completed 53 of his 56 attempted passes (95%) alongside six from his nine long balls (67%), taking the responsibility of building from the back into his stride without hesitation.
In the future, he will be relied upon to come up with big stops for Celtic. Nevertheless, for now, his start to life at Celtic has been impressive.
The Bhoys face Hibernian again this weekend in the Premier Sports Cup. You get the impression that this side still has gears to go up as the weeks go on. Hopefully, Rodgers and company can provide more of the same attacking emphasis against David Gray’s outfit.
