Kasper Schmeichel has shown his continued affinity for Celtic with a tribute from the World Cup.
Itโs now been a few weeks since Schmeichel confirmed his retirement from football after his shoulder was damaged to a point of no recovery.
His legacy is the subject of debate among Celtic fans, with some crediting his initial impact whilst others criticise his decision to play through an injury that clearly limited his ability, perceivably to the detriment of results.
Out at the World Cup on media duty with his country having missed out on qualification to Scotland, he let Hoops fans know where his heart still is.

After the chaos and discourse surrounding his injury, Schmeichel recently hit back at fans โmaking their minds upโ about it.
โIt was a specific injury, it happened in the Stuttgart game.
โIt was actually fine and it was right at the end, I felt that I need to get this checked. It was pretty damaged.
โThe conversation with the doctors became more not about actually playing again but about quality of life. Iโm one operation into potentially three more.
โItโs been really strange in the sense of Iโve still been under contract at Celtic and Iโve been in and around the team while going to see the experts.
โI played 39 games this season. We were going for a Double, which we ended up getting. I was still very much trying to be a part of that, even though you canโt be.
โMartin was great. He knows me. He knows I tried everything to see if I could get back from this. Sometimes the body makes the decisions that the heart canโt read.
โWhether they knew the truth or not, people will inevitably make their own minds up. I know the truth. Martin knows the truth. I gave everything for Celtic.

โI wanted desperately to win trophies for Celtic. And ultimately, we did, and I look back on my time at Celtic with nothing but great memories.
โItโs a club that got under my skin very, very quickly. Itโs just a special club. Itโs the whole intensity of it, how much it means, the responsibility you feel being a Celtic player.
โWhen you live in Glasgow, itโs all anyone talks about. There are Celtic fans everywhere around the world. You have to win every single game and not just win it, win it well. I just love that.โ
