Celtic icon Kenny Dalglish was full of praise for the Hoops’ performance in the recent 2-1 Europa League win over Lazio.
He thought that the Hoops thoroughly deserved their come from behind victory. However, he has sounded a note of caution ahead of the return trip to Italy in just under a fortnight’s time.
He thinks that the Hoops may come up against a much-changed Lazio side.
“I thought Celtic deserved to beat Lazio because they played really well” he said, as reported by the Herald.
“Don’t go overboard”

“But you’ve also got to be careful that you don’t go overboard because we don’t know how genuine Lazio were about this competition and how much it means to them.”
Lazio played well enough at times to show that they were taking the game seriously. However, they did leave arguably their best player and Serie A top scorer Ciro Immobile on the bench until the second-half.
You have to think that he will start when the teams meet again in Rome. That game takes on a new complexion as it is suddenly a must win for Lazio.
Opponents could play strongest available side

A draw would not really help their chances on winning. That could mean they play their strongest available side. However, that could be to Celtic’s advantage.
The Hoops have the players that can hurt Lazio on the break. That might be the style of play that Neil Lennon adopts for the return match.
It is easy to see where Dalglish is coming from with his comments. Celtic will need to be up for the challenge from what could be a vastly changed side from the Lazio they faced at Celtic Park.
Neil Lennon will no doubt be prepared for any starting line-up that Lazio choose, and he will have his players ready to go.
