Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney has unusually done the duties of providing supporters with an injury update.
The fans-favourite has been thriving once again this season, and has just overcome an injury of his own. He’s managed four appearances since returning in February. So far, however, we’ve yet to see him get back to full match-sharpness.
The defender was just one of a number of crocked Celtic stars on the treatment table, however. The likes of Ryan Christie, Callum McGregor, Filip Benkovic, and Tom Rogic should be due back at some stage in the near future.

And Tierney pretty much confirmed a few will be back after the internationals. Speaking in the Celtic View (Volume 54, Issue 33, page 15), Tierney said the following:
“After the international break, there will be three or four boys coming back to full fitness.
“Callum’s only a week or so away and Olivier Ntcham isn’t far off either. It’s good to have players like that back.
“It’s no surprise that Cal’s picked up a wee niggle from all the games he’s played and hard work he’s put in. It’ll do him the world of good to have a couple of weeks away from that.”
Players returning nicely for Rangers clash
Tierney has made it sound as though McGregor, Ntcham, and a couple of others could return before Rangers. Who the other couple are will remain a mystery. Given the time-frame of their respective injuries, however, you have to imagine it will be two of Benkovic, Rogic, and Christie respectively.
There aren’t many players who should be shoehorned in for the Rangers match on March 31st. McGregor, however, is certainly one of them.

He was the start of the show for Celtic in our 1-0 loss at Ibrox back in December. He dictated Celtic’s forward play even from the left-back position. McGregor also managed to score in that game too only for it to be harshly ruled out for offside.
Regardless, if Celtic can see off Rangers, the returning stars will set them up for one exciting climax to the season. The chance to go at least 11 points clear with just seven games remaining and a Scottish Cup semi-final against Aberdeen on the horizon – that must be a real incentive.
With Celtic’s squad getting stronger by the week, it feels like the treble-treble could very well be on.
