Kieran Tierney showed everyone how much he cares about Celtic on his Arsenal debut last night.

The man who brought Celtic a club-record sale finally made his first appearance for his new team in the Carabao Cup last night. The Gunners hosted Nottingham Forest in the competition, and it was to be a good night for Tierney as his side routed their opponents 5-0.

However, Tierney made sure Celtic were well represented on his debut too. The left-back had the word “Bhoys” as part of his left boot. The image was plastered all over social media last night, with plenty of praise coming his way.

For those who haven’t seen it, here’s KT’s Celtic touch from last night:

Tierney not willing to let Celtic go

It’s been clear since he moved to Arsenal this summer that Tierney still likes to talk Celtic up. In a video on Arsenal’s official YouTube channel last week, he also stated that Celtic Park was his favourite football stadium. Scott Brown, meanwhile, was labeled as a player he looks up to.

You can see the affection Tierney still has for the club. It’s just a shame that Celtic couldn’t keep a hold of him and keep him a one-club man.

Tierney’s development down south is going to be an interesting watch. And you also wonder whether his place in the international team weighed heavily on his mind too.

Andy Robertson occupies the left-back spot in every match Scotland play in. His performances in the Premier League and Champions League have made him an integral part of the team.

Despite the fact Tierney was performing up here and everyone knew how good he was, he consistently got overlooked for Scotland. So getting himself down to the league Robertson continuously performs in could work wonders for him.

Regardless, his love for Celtic is clearly still there. Will we see him back one day? You wouldn’t put it past him, but you can also expect to see him back as a supporter regularly.
