The chatter about Kieran Tierney and his potential move away from Celtic should come to a head over the next three weeks.
That’s because the English transfer market draws to a close at an earlier stage this summer. The Premier League’s window, of which Arsenal are part of, will close on Thursday 8th August according to the Radio Times.

That means that Arsenal will have to make a decision on whether to sign or leave the Scotland international in the next three weeks. The Gunners had a second bid of £25million knocked back by the Hoops over the weekend but they are expected to return to the table with a third offer.
However, Celtic bosses will be encouraged by the fact that the Tierney saga won’t be allowed to drag on until the final days of the Scottish window.

It isn’t just Arsenal who are interested in Tierney
Napoli have also been linked with the 22-year-old in recent weeks. If they are to clinch a deal then they’ll have to do it by August 23rd. That’s when the Italian window closes.

In contrast, Celtic can sign players up until September 2nd. That means that Neil Lennon should have more than enough time to recruit a replacement even if Tierney does move on.
All round, it seems pretty positive news for Celtic.
