Kilmarnock captain Gary Dicker has a similar opinion to that of Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell, in that he is not in favour of the league being declared void, the Scottish Sun reports.

The Killie skipper has disclosed that as 30 league games have been played it would be ‘difficult’ to void the league campaign.

“3o games have been played”

“There will be people who say you can’t crown somebody winners and not have relegation. But 30 games have been played and it would be difficult to void the league at this stage” he said, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.

“If it was halfway through the season maybe you could argue the case for that.”

Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell made his stance about voiding the season clear in a message to the Hoops support on the club website this week.

Lawwell firmly declared that there is no way that the authorities can void the league this season.

It will be interesting to see what the Scottish football authorities do with regard to the rest of this season. They will be eager, as everyone else will be, to get the players back on the pitch.

One wonders if season will have cut-off point

For the moment though, nothing can be done. One has to wonder if there is a cut-off point for getting this season re-started.

If the league does not re-start by the start of June, for example, will the governing bodies look into calling a halt to the season?

It is not an easy decision for the authorities to make. Still, it is interesting to get the views of a current player.

It is promising that he is not in favour of voiding the league, which is a very last resort scenario.
