Kilmarnock star Kris Boyd was made to eat humble pie in yesterday’s 5-1 mauling of his side at Celtic Park.
The former Rangers star infamously insisted earlier on this season that there was a split in the Celtic dressing room. Despite having no evidence to back the claim up, Boyd continued to stick by it regardless.
It angered Celtic fans at the time who knew Boyd had no reason to believe it. It seemed to come from a desire to wind-up the Celtic support more than anything concrete.
Yet, despite that, it all came back to bite him yesterday when one fan goaded him from the bench. With the Ayrshire side on the end of a doing, Boyd could do nothing but glance over in embarrassment.

Since Boyd claimed that Celtic were struggling with dressing room issues, the Hoops have stormed to the top of the table. In addition to that, they’ve also secured the Betfred Cup in impressive fashion too.
This Thursday night, Celtic will look to book their place in the last 32 of the Europa League with at least a point against Red Bull Salzburg. The squad have also taken a stand in recent times with some warm celebrations that shows a more unified dressing room than we’ve seen in a long time.
MORE CELTIC STORIES

Many were lining up to have a go at Rodgers’ side during the opening stages of the season. A poor start had many hoping a proper title-challenge was on. As it stands, there still is, but Celtic will fancy their chances of nipping away from Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.
It was Boyd’s claim that angered Hoops fans most of all. It was nothing but an attempt to have a dig at the club who’ve secured back-to-back trebles back in May.
Supporters have every right to keep reminding the former Rangers star of his comments. They’re certainly coming back to haunt him these days.
