One of the great things about Celtic posting images from training is that we get to peek behind the curtain and see what players are still kicking about Lennoxtown from Monday to Friday.
Yesterday we got a fresh glimpse at the likes of Odsonne Edouard and Mohamed Elyounoussi who had returned to training after spells on the sidelines. We also caught a glimpse of a player who hadn’t been seen around these parts for some time. Remember Kundai Benyu?

The English-born youngster was spotted here in the fifth photo of the club’s Instagram gallery. He is seen sharing a joke with regular first-teamer Jeremie Frimpong, looking like he has never been away.
Benyu could be one to move out in January
The 21-year-old has, in fact, been over in Scandinavia where he just had his loan spell at Helsingborgs cut short. Benyu’s time in Sweden started pretty positively but ended up poorly as he failed to make his side’s matchday squad in any of his final ten matches.
The youngster penned a four-year contract when he signed in 2017, meaning that his current deal still has around 18 months remaining on it. Not even the most ardent Benyu supporter would see any hope for him breaking into our current side so it seems like a January move could be in the pipeline.

Whether that is a temporary or permanent deal remains to be seen. He always looked to have some sort of quality, and is still only 21, so he may have a few suitors out there who are keen to bolster their ranks ahead of the second half of the season.
Time will tell. But unlike Edouard and Elyounoussi, don’t expect to see him making waves on the pitch anytime soon.
