Kyogo Furuhashi, ruled out of action tonight due to injury, has sent a good luck message to his Celtic teammates on Instagram ahead of the game vs Rangers.
Kyogo is still suffering from a hamstring injury that will keep him out of the Celtic team for another few weeks. He hasn’t even returned to training at Lennoxtown yet, as confirmed by Ange Postecoglou yesterday.
However, he’ll be cheering on the Bhoys tonight in the biggest game of the season so far, writing on Instagram: “All the best for tonight, team! Together we are stronger. 💪🏻🍀”
Not having Kyogo available is a real blow but it’s important he fully heals and doesn’t have any recurring issues. We’ll need him in the Scottish Premiership run-in regardless of what happens tonight.
Giorgos Giakoumakis looks destined to start the match against Rangers in the centre-forward position.
However, Daizen Maeda could be available from the bench in the second half after returning from international duty today.
You can feel the tension today ahead of kick-off. Or maybe that’s just me. It’s natural to be nervous.
Hopefully the Bhoys themselves are in a more neutral mindset and simply ready to enact the plan that Postecoglou wants them to.
If we play to our capabilities and cope with the unpredictable derby chaos then we should have enough to win, backed by 60,000 die-hard supporters.
Bring it on!
