Lazio striker Felipe Caicedo has compared Celtic to Serie A team Torino. The Roman side defeated the Turin outfit by four goals in Wednesday night’s match.

Caicedo draws a comparison with Torino and Celtic’s physicality as to why they are similar. The only difference is, the Hoops defeated Lazio while Torino couldn’t put up a fight.

They are undefeated in their last five matches but the Hoops loss is lodged in between. Torino meanwhile haven’t won a game in their last five.

Caicedo’s men hosted Torino who are just four points from the relegation zone in Serie A. A goal by Francesco Acerbi, two from Ciro Immobile and an own goal from Andrea Belotti sealed the points.

Reflecting on the game, Caicedo draws similarities to Torino and Celtic.

He told SS Lazio: “Torino is a team very similar to Celtic: we managed to score and we won, but even Torino boast great physicality like the Scottish line-up.

“We need to think about the next match because we still need another victory.”

The Hoops were able to keep Serie A top striker Immobile quiet in the Parkhead clash. A goal from open play and another penalty were scored by the Italian against Torino. However, Celtic should still be wary of his threat.

Hoops must keep in mind Ciro Immobile’s brilliance

Immobile isn’t the top scorer in Italian football this season for nothing. Yes, some of his goals have came from the penalty spot, but all Lazio’s strikers are in the zone.

Giving him even and inch of space near the box will allow him to test Fraser Forster.

Not only is Immobile dangerous but Lazio will be too as many fans have already witnessed. They like their one-two passing and their link up play is second to none.

Lazio aren’t strong on the road in Europe, like Celtic, so it’ll be interesting to see if the reverse result happens.

Celtic have it in them to qualify next Thursday, but it’s going to take a lot of work to keep Immobile and Lazio at bay on their home patch.
