Leigh Griffiths’ Twitter is full of mischief and laughs with the fans, but on occasion touching gestures are also shown.

The Celtic hit-man is a huge hit with the fans at Parkhead. He’s consistently interacting with them on Twitter and loves to banter with his fellow Hoops-minded followers.

Today, however, he’s offered a terrific gesture to a supporter’s request to have the Celtic striker hand out medals to his local boys team.

In typical Griffiths fashion, he responded looking to find out the details in order to attend and agree to the invite.

It’s the small things that matter

This isn’t a first for the prolific Hoops striker. Celtic’s goal-machine has been a guest at the likes of St Cadoc’s Boys club in the past to hand out end-of-season gongs.

Despite not playing too often in recent campaigns, Griffiths is still highly-popular at Celtic Park. This is mainly down to his interaction with supporters and his passion for the club regardless of his playing time.

He’s still managed to bag a mightily impressive 105 goals for the club since signing back in 2014. Unfortunately, however, Brendan Rodgers has favoured the likes of Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard to the Scotland international.

He remains a key part of the Celtic manager’s plans, however, and signed a new contract back in September. He’s clearly still committed to the club, and loves being at Parkhead.

A variety of different gestures have seen his popularity soar with the Celtic support. Perhaps the biggest one of all has been tying a Celtic scarf to the goalpost at Ibrox, as well as celebrating in front of Rangers fans at Parkhead back in September.

Fans appreciate Griffiths fan-like behaviour on the field. It’s no surprise he’s still adored by the support despite his lack of playing time.

His latest Twitter gesture is just a symbol of the connection he has with the club’s supporters. Regardless of how often he starts games, that will never change.
