Manager Neil Lennon has named his Celtic team to take on Aberdeen at Pittodrie in the Scottish Premiership this lunchtime, as per the club’s official Twitter account.
The full match squad is as follows:
Starting XI – Forster; Bitton, Jullien, Ajer; Taylor, Brown, Forrest, McGregor, Ntcham; Griffiths, Edouard.
Substitutes – Bain, Hayes, Frimpong, Rogic, Elyounoussi, Bayo, Christie.
A victory will see Celtic open up a 13 point gap over second-placed team Rangers ahead of their rescheduled match against Livingston later today.
It’s a crucial match coming at the end of a long, gruelling run of domestic matches for Lennon’s men.
Ahead of Thursday’s trip to Copenhagen, another win today would be the perfect way to carry momentum into a new phase of the season.
The manager has named about as strong a team as possible for the encounter in what looks to be a 3-5-2 formation.
The only selection that is something of a surprise is Nir Bitton returning to action in place of Jozo Simunovic, however, it shouldn’t detract from the quality of the performance.
With red hot stars like Olivier Ntcham and Odsonne Edouard in the team and others like Ryan Christie ready to come off the bench, we have more than enough firepower to see off the Dons today.
The return of Jeremie Frimpong to the matchday squad is also great to see after his long-term injury scare.

Aberdeen come into the match having ended a winless run mid-week, though won’t take much joy from Celtic’s record at Pittodrie.
The Hoops have scored 19 goals in the last six matches at the venue, conceding just three and winning every game.
Can Lennon’s Bhoys continue that fine record today?
These fans are pleased with the team named by the manager, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts this morning…
