Celtic boss Neil Lennon has admitted that any further Celtic transfer business could depend on defeating Nomme Kalju in the second round of the Champions League qualifiers.
The Hoops take on the Estonian champions in the first leg of the tie at Celtic Park on Wednesday.
“If you can negotiate this tie then we can hopefully look at strengthening the side going into the third round” Lennon said, as reported by the Celtic Twitter account.
“A slow process”
“It can be a slow process at times but you want quality” he concluded.

Lennon’s comments certainly add intrigue to the tie. The Hoops are big favourites for the game. They will be expecting to take a lead over to the second leg.
Perhaps if Celtic record an emphatic victory in the first leg – 5-0, for example – Lennon and the club may decide to make signings ahead of the second leg.
Adding quality isn’t easy
Although as the manager says, it is all about getting in quality. That isn’t easy, which could be why the Hoops have been limited to three signings so far this season.
However, it could be a tad concerning to the Hoops support that any more signings may depend on defeating Nomme Kalju.
Hopefully additions will be made no matter what happens in the Champions League qualifiers. Only time will tell on that matter.
