Lewis Morgan has made it clear he is determined to fight for his place at Celtic.

The 22 year old, signed from St.Mirren last season, has only made one competitive start for Celtic.

Though that did come in Leipzig, it is thought Morgan is highly regarded by the coaching staff at Parkhead.

Morgan stated he has no intentions of going out on loan to another club.

The youngster was signed, then immediately loaned back to St. Mirren in January.

“People forget I was loaned back to St. Mirren. I want to get settled here now. I have confidence in myself that I can add something here (at Celtic),” he told BBC Sport.

Impressive cameos

The winger has had to settle for taking his chance off the bench late in games. He has however consistently looked dangerous in his appearances.

There is no doubt that Morgan has a lot of confidence in his own ability. If given a run in the team, he could prove to be a major asset for Celtic.

Unfortunately for him, he’s had to watch James Forrest and Scott Sinclair hit the heights in recent weeks.

The jury is still out on whether Morgan will be a successful Celtic player or not.

There were eyebrows raised when Celtic plucked the wide man from the Scottish Championship.

Brendan Rodgers has made it no secret he is a huge fan of Morgan.

However the early signs are positive in favour of the winger. If he can keep up his progress, it won’t be long before he’s making a match winning contribution.
