It may be a surprise to some Celtic fans to see Lewis Morgan so prominently featured for the Hoops so far this season.
In his first season at the club, he rarely played under former manager Brendan Rodgers. In fact, he joined Sunderland on loan in January.
New manager has resurrected Celtic career
However, since he has returned to the club, the appointment of Neil Lennon has resurrected his Hoops career.
It has to be said, that Morgan has turned in some good performances that have repaid the faith that the manager has showed in him.
He played well in the recent 2-0 win over Nomme Kalju, which was possibly his best performance of the season so far.
Holding down first-team place will be tough
Perhaps the biggest problem Morgan will have this season is holding down a place in the first-team. The Hoops have plenty of players who can play on the wing.
Therefore, whenever Morgan gets a chance he has to make it count. He has a good chance of being involved for the Hoops against St Johnstone on Saturday.
It would not be a surprise to see Neil Lennon pick him for the first league game of the season. However, the bigger question is will be Morgan be selected for the trip to Cluj on Wednesday?
If he is selected for that match, it will show that Morgan could have a big season for the Hoops.
