Hibernian have named Jack Ross as their new manager in some news that may be greeted fondly by Celtic man Lewis Morgan.
The 23-year-old, who is currently in Cyprus with the Scotland setup, played under Ross for two successful years at St. Mirren then during the second-half of last season at Sunderland – where he featured 22 times.

That spell didn’t work out as planned but the pair’s relationship at the Buddies may be enough to tempt Ross into another move this January.
Hibernian wouldn’t be a bad move for Morgan
If he did decide to swoop, he wouldn’t be likely to face too much resistance from Celtic. Morgan has become one of the many fringe players at the club – starting just one game since the middle of August.
The 23-year-old had a big opportunity at the start of the season prior to the signing of Mohamed Elyounoussi, but he didn’t quite manage to take it. He’s now likely seen as third or fourth option on the left-wing – behind the Norwegian, Mikey Johnston and Jonny Hayes.

A loan move for Morgan would perhaps make sense for both Celtic and Hibernian. The Leith side would get a half decent player who could bolster their attacking ranks, while Celtic could keep an eye on him just in case he turns out to be something exceptional.
But given his current position in the squad, not too many fans would be disgruntled if he moved on permanently.
Although there is nothing concrete to suggest that Ross will move for Morgan, history does tell us that interest is likely.
