Reported Celtic target Liam Kelly has been linked with a switch to English Championship side QPR.

The keeper who is going into the final year of his contract at Livingston is wanted by his former boss Mark Warburton, according to the Daily Record. They say that the ex-Rangers manager wants a third goalkeeper at Loftus Road. He is also aware of a reduced release clause in Kelly’s contract.
At the start of May, the Record also reported that Celtic were “monitoring” the 23-year-old while Hamburg were interested too.

Move quickly
Kelly is rumoured to be available for as little as £50,000 this summer. If that is the case then Celtic should just pay the money and get him to the club.
We can’t afford to play a long game this summer like QPR can. We have crucial matches on the horizon and a squad that’s badly in need of reinforcements. Celtic have to act efficiently and sign players with little fuss. If Kelly is available for a nominal fee like £50,000 then we should just pay it and bring him in.
MORE CELTIC STORIES

The club must have learned from the John McGinn fiasco last summer. We spent weeks in protracted negotiations with Hibernian before Aston Villa came in and paid what he was worth. The English Premier League side are now seeing the benefits of the move while McGinn is probably worth seven or eight times what they paid for him.
It’s about time that Celtic bit the bullet and paid the money to sign attractive players. Kelly has proven himself to be a good keeper this season. If the club are interested in him then it’s time to act accordingly.
