Nir Bitton chose to gatecrash teammate Liel Abada’s Instagram Q&A with the Celtic supporters yesterday as the winger answered a flurry of supporter queries.
Abada and Bitton are close given their recent spells with the Israeli national team. The duo have spent a couple of international camps together and are clearly close friends after Liel’s arrival in the summer.
Abada has made an instant impact at Celtic Park after seizing the right-wing spot for himself. With James Forrest and Karamoko Dembele injured, Abada has managed to make himself undroppable. But as he took part in a Q&A on Celtic’s official Instagram story, Bitton was surprisingly the first one up with a question:

And no doubt Bitton got the reaction he was after when Abada repled: “Niro! You’re my brother – I love you.”
Supporters did get the chance to throw in questions of their own of course. Abada confirmed his footballing hero growing up was Cristiano Ronaldo whilst he identified Israel’s Manor Solomon as the best player he’s ever played with.
More importantly, despite the weather, Abada states that he’s enjoying life in Glasgow, that he loves the song the Celtic fans have made for him, and that his favourite Hoops goal so far was against Midtjylland.
Liel Abada takes over Celtic Instagram and gives telling answers
Abada has been a real fan-favourite since joining the club in the summer. It’s easy to forget the Israel international is only 20 years of age too. It’s incredible what he’s achieving in such a short space of time in his career.
Celtic fans are delighted to have a genuine goal threat down the right. Even though Forrest has proven himself over the years, we’ve struggled for genuine competition. You could argue we haven’t had that since Patrick Roberts was lighting it up back in 2016/17.
Now, however, Abada is giving the Celtic wingers plenty to worry about. Hopefully, it’ll only make Forrest and Dembele in particular rise to the occasion. Ange Postecoglou will certainly welcome some rotation if he can afford it.

You can see how much he’s enjoying himself at Celtic Park in the early stages. The supporters love what he’s bringing to the table, and it was nice to be able to find out a bit more about him via his Q&A.
Let’s hope he proves to be the start of the show this afternoon as Celtic host Ferencvaros in a massive Europa League encounter at Parkhead.
