The Lisbon Lions are to be honoured by a new exhibition at the Estadio Nacional in the Portuguese capital.
The stadium where Celtic made their finest achievement is now a popular pilgrimage for Hoops fans, having been largely well-preserved in the 60 years since the final.
Though plans are in place to rejuvenate the stadium, it remains as it is for now and the Portuguese authorities are clearly keen not to diminish from its appeal to the Parkhead support.
As such, the Portuguese Institute for Sport and Youth are now opening the exhibition, ‘From Glasgow to Glory – Celtic’s 1967 European Triumph’, in the tunnel of the stadium.

It will be open for a whole year, giving fans plenty of time to visit if they wish. If you haven’t already, now is the time to make the pilgrimage!
Craig said in the statement: “It is a fantastic for the club and the Lions to be honoured in this way.
“We will always enjoy such a strong connection with the city and the people of the city and for such recognition to be given to us really is very humbling.
‘I remember being in that tunnel all those years ago – the anticipation, the trepidation and above all, the feeling of pride.’
“It will be amazing to be back in that tunnel as we attend this wonderful event.
“It is hard to believe that our famous victory took place almost 60 years ago, but initiatives like this really do keep this alive and bring even more colour again to that great day so many years on.
“On behalf of the Lions and all our families, I sincerely thank everyone who has put so much effort into this great project.”
