Sky Sports are going big with their opening Premiership weekend coverage which includes Celtic vs Ross County.
The Hoops will kick-off the new season with Flag Day at a sold-out Celtic Park, and the Sky Sports cameras will be there to show the game.
But that’s just part of a pretty tasty looking weekend’s coverage from the broadcaster.
Sky are going big for the new season and have already announced a new Celtic pundit in the shape of Chris Sutton.
It’s not clear whether Sutton’s inclusion will spell the end for the likes of Stiliyan Petrov and Martin O’Neill on the channel. We’d like to think not.
The addition of Sutton should give Sky a fresh feeling at the start of the new season and we’re looking forward to hearing him on the channel — surely before and after Saturday’s clash.

Their weekend begins with a vague sounding ‘season preview show’. A look at the Sky TV guide shows that the programme will air on Sky Sports News from 6:30pm to 7pm, and it will come live from Celtic Park.
The description reads: “Analysis of all the big talking points ahead of the new Scottish Premiership season, plus exclusive interviews with all 12 clubs in a special countdown show live from Celtic Park.”
On Saturday, they will have live coverage of both our game against County and Kilmarnock vs Rangers. That’s at least five hours or so worth of Scottish football live on television.

To finish the weekend’s coverage there will be a ’round-up’ shown on Monday morning at 9am.
Sky have plenty of detractors in Scotland, so it will be interesting to see if their offering has improved at all.
With trips to Aberdeen, Rangers and Livingston already confirmed for live coverage, Celtic fans will be watching a fair bit of the channel in the early weeks of the season.
