Livingston defender Jack Fitzwater is unhappy after comments he made about Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi were taken out of context.

As we told you yesterday, Fitzwater was fulsome in his praise of Kyogo after the striker struck 33 goals in an incredible campaign.
He also mentioned that the Japanese international could be “actually quite dirty off the ball.”
Clearly, those comments were just a passing remark. Fitzwater probably didn’t expect them to make headlines but that’s the Scottish media for you.
The Scottish Sun led with: “Celtic star Kyogo ‘actually quite a dirty player”, says former SPFL rival as he claims nice guy image is wide of mark.
The Livingston man then had his say on Twitter several hours later as he quoted the headline and added: “Totally taken out of context! One of the best players in the league”.
Without getting all high and mighty, it is yet another example of outlets having a responsibility to publish fair and accurate quotes.
Fitzwater wasn’t trying to undermine Kyogo’s talent in any way. He was likely just mentioning that the forward knew how to give it out as well as take it.
Surely the headlines should have focussed on the positive comments rather than the ones that could be perceived negatively.
Anyway, we’ve got a long summer of this kind of stuff ahead of us before the new season.
Let’s hope Kyogo is around to bang in 33 more goals next campaign.
