Jamie O’Hara has dragged Celtic’s name into yet another talkSPORT rant about Ange Postecoglou.

The former Tottenham midfielder was furious with the Australian after his side lost 1-0 to Chelsea in the Premier League.

Celtic hero Postecoglou bristled at a journalist’s grilling of his relationship with the Spurs fans at full-time and it was a moment he certainly looked a beaten man as his team sit 14th in the league.

It’s been a far cry from Ange’s time in Glasgow where he won five trophies at Celts and O’Hara moaned about the ex-Socceroos coach and his handling of the season.

Jamie O’Hara downplayed Postecoglou’s Celtic success

He also brought Celtic into the conversation as he dismissed Postecoglou’s credentials and sarcastically – we hope – insisted he would do a better job.

“It’s a myth. It’s a myth. Any other manager at Tottenham Hotspur would have got the sack. He would have been gone. We’ve lost 16 games,” he fumed.

“You have got this Scotland manager who has done the business up in Scotland with the biggest budget and the best players, and play a style of football which is easy when he is playing against St Mirren and Kilmarnock.

“He had 10 good games at the start when he rocked up because we were in a hole and all of a sudden everyone loves him still. What are you talking about?

“Every team around us has sacked their manager. Every single team has sacked their manager around us. Every one of them. We’re still there with Ange.

“I reckon I could take over and do a better job! Genuinely. Seriously.”

Ange Postecoglou’s media handling has ben criticised

Ange has never shied away from a media dust-up and even at Celtic he had times where he would issue spiky responses.

But his battle with Sky Sports‘ Patrick Davison after the Blues defeat didn’t sit right with O’Hara.

“He deals with the media terribly.

“He gives the media nothing. He comes in, he’s had 10 good games and all of a sudden he’s laughing with Gary Neville Jamie Carragher and everyone thought he was like the Messiah.

“Like do me a favour, his interviews are terrible. He argues with talkSPORT, with Sam Matterface. It gives you nothing.”
