Celtic manager Neil Lennon has announced his starting eleven for tonight’s friendly away to Lyon, per the official club website.
The full match squad is as follows:
Starting XI – Bain; Elhamed, Bitton, Welsh, Bolingoli, Karamoko, Soro, Ntcham, Robertson, Henderson, Klimala.
Substitutes – Doohan, Hazard, Jullien, Taylor, Brown, Christie, Edouard, Elyounoussi, Connell, Frimpong, Ajer, McGregor, Forrest, McInroy.
Thursday night’s match against Nice was a good workout but Lennon’s men will be looking to improve again tonight and pick up a win, rather than a draw.
These games against Ligue 1 opposition are far from easy but should be the perfect preparation for next month’s Scottish Premiership kick-off against Hamilton.
Lyon will be out to prove themselves after falling to a sloppy defeat to Scottish Premiership also-rans Rangers.
Simply put though, if they can beat Rudi Garcia’s outfit, then so can we.
Lennon has opted to heavily change his team compared to the one that started two nights ago.
After impressing from the bench against Nice, talents like Patryk Klimala and Ismaila Soro have been given the opportunity to show what they can do from the start.
There’s also room for the likes of Karamoko Dembele and Stephen Welsh, giving fans a sneak peek at the next generation for Celtic stars.
It’s an exciting eleven and one which is proving to be a hit with supporters.

Can this unusual and untested team do the business against one of France’s big clubs?
