Celtic hero Lubomir Moravcik believes Vakoun Bayo will take time to get used to Scotland.

The Slovakian has watched The Hoops’ new striker banging in the goals in his native land.

However, the ‘Ghift from Ghod’ doesn’t believe it will be a miracle if Bayo was to become a success.

Bayo can work same wonders in Scotland says Lubo

The former midfielder spoke to the official club site about what fans can expect from Bayo.

He said: “Bayo’s ability and performances in Slovakia have been very good, he’s skilful and has proven he can score goals here, and I’m certain he can do the same in Scotland.

“If he can score goals in Slovakia, he can score goals anywhere in the world.

“He’s been a very important player for Dunajska Streda, he’s scored a lot of goals, and he’s got a lot of potential.

“He’s young, he’s quick, he might need time to adapt, but I definitely think he’s got a lot of promise.”

Lubo also commends the striker’s ability to head the ball – something sorely missing at the moment.

He states that he was part of physical Celtic teams who had players who could header the ball.

As Celtic are a team who get a lot of set-pieces, the club will be needing the Ivorian’s prowess.

In a separate story from December when The Bhoys were first linked with Bayo, the Slovakian believed the 21-year-old could use his new club as a stepping stone to Europe.

Moussa Dembele came to Celtic from Fulham and got his massive move home to Lyon.

Likewise, Virgil van Dijk is setting the world alight but also had a starring role in Glasgow.

Bayo will be looking at these players as proof that he can make it to the top if he does well.
