Luis Palma’s Celtic career is pretty much over.
The Honduran winger was one of Brendan Rodgers’ first signings upon the manager’s return to Celtic in the summer of 2023.
Palma started brightly, scoring five goals and providing six assists in his first 11 Scottish Premiership games for the Hoops.
But his productivity waned after the arrival of Nicolas Kuhn and he spent the latter half of last season out on loan to Olympiacos.

Palma’s cryptic TikTok message
Palma represented Honduras at the CONCACAF Gold Cup and reached the semi-final of the competition after his crucial quarter-final goal against Panama.
But after that high, he’s been brought crashing back down to Earth as Celtic decided not to include him in the travelling squad to Lisbon this week.
Palma is on the transfer shortlist at Celtic and with his contract set to expire in 2028, the Hoops will be demanding a fee for the player.
Meanwhile, Palma has posted on TikTok with a cryptic message that could indicate how he is feeling at the moment.
On his story, he published a picture of a cartoon with the caption: “Explicar da mucho trabajo… júzgame y sé feliz.”
In English, that translates to: “Explaining takes a lot of effort… judge me and be happy.”
How did Palma perform at Olympiacos?
Celtic allowed Palma to leave on loan to Olympiacos in January as the winger simply wasn’t getting enough minutes on the pitch.
He made 11 appearances in total for the Greek giants, scoring one goal and delivering just one assist until his loan ended in May.
That’s not going to be enough to convince Rodgers to keep him, and it’s clear the Celtic manager wants Palma sold sooner rather than later.
