French side Lyon are reportedly interested in Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.

The Ligue 1 giants are in search for a full-back following Ferland Mendy’s move to Real Madrid.

Lyon signed Celtic star Moussa Dembélé in the last day of the window last season.

If they have their way, Tierney will be their second signing from the Hoops in less than a year.

He is tied down an extensive contract at the club and only the big bucks will take him away from the club.

Lyon stumped up the cash to bring hitman Dembélé to the club last summer.

Their president Jean-Michel Aulas who is determined to get what he wants and achieved that with the striker.

Now, the French giants are in need for an ample replacement for Mendy who is Spain bound.

Of course, Tierney will also have to approve of the mood for it to go ahead.

The question surrounding the Scot is how long he will stick around in Glasgow.

He will either be a one-team player or hit the dizzy heights – it’s a massive career decision he will have to make.

Kieran Tierney move puts Celtic in danger

If a shock move occurs and Tierney is wearing the white top of Lyon come next season, Celtic will be in jeopardy.

Yes, they’ll have the money but history shows this will not be reinvested.

If Tierney leaves, then a left-back must become priority as fans will not stand for a permanent makeshift like Jonny Hayes.

Even on the other side, only Anthony Ralston is left.

Peter Lawwell and co will have to dig deep over the next few weeks to sew up these problems.
