Celtic captain Scott Brown has hailed the club’s historic nine-in-a-row achievement this afternoon after the SPFL officially declared the Scottish Premiership season over.
The champions have finished 13 points clear of second-placed side Rangers after the top-flight was curtailed from the usual 38-game schedule due the ongoing public health crisis.
Unable to celebrate on the pitch and in stadiums, Brown has nonetheless sent a message to supporters urging them to enjoy the title win at home.
Writing on Twitter, the captain said: “History created lads. 9 in a row. Make sure we all celebrate.”

Amazingly Brown has been at Celtic Park, and indeed captained the team, to all nine of our league triumphs in a row, taking his place alongside immortal legend Billy McNeill as one of our best ever leaders.
Edouard meanwhile took an even simpler approach, simply posting the number of league titles Celtic have won over the last nine seasons in emoji form.

No matter where you are in the world tonight, ensure that you take a moment to reflect on what a sensational season Neil Lennon and his Bhoys have had.
The team won a massive 26 of the 30 league games, scored 89 league goals and conceded just 19 at the other end.
We were well on our way to having one of the best seasons in the entire history over the club.
That stunning end to the campaign was taken away from us but no trophy or medal is any less deserved.
