Confirmed Celtic names for Old Trafford event
Paul Lambert will be in the Celtic dugout opposite Bryan Robson and while the full squad list has yet to be communicated we do know many of the Bhoys stars taking part.
Charlie Mulgrew, Stiliyan Petrov, Barry Robson and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink were confirmed as part of the initial fixture announcement.

We also know that Georgios Samaras, Emilio Izaguirre, Darren O’Dea, Simon Donnelly, Artur Boruc, Jonny Hayes, Efe Ambrose, Stephen McManus, Joe Ledley, Mikael Lustig, Gary Hooper, Kelvin Wilson and Lukasz Zaluska will all be joining them.
Petrov said of the occasion: “I look forward to playing in these games and to see all those players again. Not many of us see each other because everybody lives in different parts of the world, different places. So it’s a great pleasure to meet up again, share old stories, have a good laugh and enjoy a beer.
“I think both sets of fans will be expecting to win. Obviously Celtic now have a team that is a bit younger which is good. And you seen that with the Dortmund game, it was very competitive, so I expect the same against Manchester United.”
Proceeds from the match will go towards supporting youngsters across Manchester and beyond, helping the Manchester United Foundation to continue its community work and improving the lives of thousands of young people. Support will also be provided to Celtic FC Foundation, to help in its mission to alleviate poverty in Glasgow and further afield.
