Hoops fans flocked to question him about the club and what he thinks of his potential future.

When asked about playing at Celtic Park, Perez said: “Yes, one day the dream will come true.”

One fan also enquired if Perez had been to a match, the American said: “Yes, one of the best experiences ever.”

The US under-20 international also said he can’t wait to play for the club and is looking forward to every experience once he links up with the squad.

However, the right-back could potentially have a lot of work to make it to the first team when he arrives.

How American can realise his Celtic dream

Currently, when summer comes round Anthony Ralston will be the only right-back at the club.

Mikael Lustig is in the last few months of his contract and a new deal is unknown.

Jeremy Toljan is only in on-loan from Borussia Dortmund until the end of season and a permanent deal is unlikely.

There isn’t a better chance for Perez to come into the fold and challenge Ralston, who is currently injured.

However, fans may be desperate to replace Toljan and Lustig with proven quality which could dampen Perez’s chances.

Nevertheless, he is making it clear that he wants to realise a dream to play at Parkhead.

This said, it’ll require a lot of work from the young American in order to achieve that.
