Most people will agree that over the last 13 years, Celtic have been miles ahead of Rangers.
With Celtic now officially Scotland’s most successful club, Brendan Rodgers is going for the Parkhead club’s fifth title in a row next season.
The Celtic manager will come against his seventh Rangers boss over two Parkhead spells in Russell Martin.
And looking ahead to next season, Celtic legend Martin O’Neill has a brutal truth to tell the new Rangers boss about his club’s attempts to catch the Bhoys over the last four seasons.

Martin O’Neill says Rangers ‘can’t tough it out’ like Celtic can
Despite last season’s Glasgow Derbies being closely fought, Celtic still finished a massive 17 points ahead of Rangers in the Scottish Premiership table.
And as Martin prepares to take on the current Scottish champions, O’Neill sends the Ibrox boss a brutal Celtic truth about his club’s attempts to catch the Parkhead club.
O’Neill told talkSPORT [3m 40s], “The most important thing for us [as managers] is that it’s the easiest message in the world to tell managers going into a football club is just win. You’ve got to win. However you decide to win, that’s up to you.
“And if you win by playing the ball out from the back, playing really attractive football, that’s a bonus. But you’ve got to win.
“Rangers have not been winning for quite some considerable time. They’ve not been winning consistently. Over one particular game, as they proved last season, they can actually match Celtic on a one-to-one.
“But they are totally incapable of going, let’s say away from home and winning matches that they would be expected to win.
“They can’t tough it out and that’s been their problem for quite a number of years now. They can’t really tough it out. Celtic have been able to do exactly that.
“So Celtic are far more consistent in terms of winning games, winning matches that you are expected to win.”
