The likes of Micah Richards and Scott Sinclair have reacted to Joe Hart’s classy Instagram post after the 2-1 win at Ibrox yesterday.
Hart was one of the Celtic heroes who stepped into Govan and left with all 3 points yesterday. The former England number 1 showed incredible leadership and character after the broken glass incident at half-time that delayed proceedings.
The former Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur man didn’t let it affect his game. And as he reflected on the game on Instagram, he received plenty of recognition by Celtic players past and present as well as old City pal Richards:
Hart used his post to laud the sensational Celtic support inside Ibrox yesterday. The 700 Hoops fans made themselves heard ad will undoubtedly have been left feeling on top of the world inside Govan yesterday.
Of course, Hart didn’t really have all that much to do on the day. Outside of a fine low stop to deny Fashion Sakala in the second half, Rangers’ threat was often tamed.
Even so, it’s now 2 wins in 3 derbies for Hart after our 3-0 success at Celtic Park back in February. The pendulum of power in Glasgow has swung Celtic’s way, and Joe has had a big part to play in that.

Hart is no longer just another Celtic player. He’s an absolute hero amongst the support and for good reason.
Even though he wasn’t troubled much yesterday, that doesn’t mean he deserves minimal credit. He still had to be alert to collect cross balls and he had to deal with more than his fair share of long-range efforts.
He deserves credit given that this is a fixture and an atmosphere that can eat players up. Hart showed immense focus to ensure nothing basic slipped beyond him. If it had, it could’ve turned the momentum of the title race over to our rivals. He more than played his part.
We also can’t speak highly enough of his composure in the second 45 too. Even if the Rangers groundstaff managed to clean most of the glass up, it will still have been on his mind. Yet he didn’t allow it to stop him giving 100% for Celtic and staying focused on the task at hand.
It’s just yet another big momentum boost for Ange Postecoglou and his players. They can go into the game against St Johnstone on Saturday feeling nothing less than on cloud nine. Hopefully that shows in the football we play as we look to edge closer to a historic title success.
And if we manage it, Hart will be entitled to feel as though he’s played one of the biggest roles at the club.
