Celtic loanee Mohamed Elyounoussi has disclosed that he enjoys playing with Hoops left-back Greg Taylor, the Celtic View reports.

The duo have not had the chance to team-up that often, but they did in the recent game with Copenhagen. Elyounoussi felt that he and Taylor worked well together in the game.

“Found each other”

“Against Copenhagen a few weeks back, Greg Taylor and I found each other down the left-hand side on a few occasions, and I think we’re building a good understanding on that wing” he said, as quoted by the Celtic View (Volume 55, Issue 33, Page 23).

Elyounoussi might enjoy playing alongside Taylor, but the partnership might not get a chance to flourish. The reason for that – Elyounoussi might not be in the starting line-up for the Hoops every week.

For example, he didn’t start in the recent 5-0 win over St Mirren.

The only way the duo will be able to make the partnership work is by playing games together, and there is no guarantee that will happen.

Partnership could be a useful one

Still, when Elyounoussi gets back into the side, Neil Lennon should use him on the left, perhaps in conjunction with Taylor, to see how well the duo can work together.

It could be an option for the team to explore before the end of the season. It might not last longer than that, should Elyounoussi leave the Hoops at the end of the season, when his loan deal expires.

For now though, the partnership between Elyounoussi and Taylor could give the team an attacking advantage if need be.
