Mohamed Elyounoussi has explained to in-house club magazine The Celtic View why he’s been gesturing with the letter ‘A’ in his recent goal celebrations (26/08 print edition, page 11).
The Celtic attacking midfielder has scored two goals already this season, both of them coming in last week’s Champions League qualifier against KR Reykjavik.
After each effort, he gestured an ‘A’ symbol with his hands and The Celtic View were on the case to find out what it means.
Elyounoussi told the magazine: “The ‘A’ celebration is for my daughter Amina, that’s the reason behind it. Every time I score a goal I’ll celebrate for her.
“She’s too small to understand it just now, she’s only 18 months old, but hopefully in the future she will see her dad celebrating for her.
“Hopefully I can keep scoring for her as well!”

Elyounoussi will be looking to get back on the goal trail tonight at home to Ferencvaros.
He was excellent in flashes last term but injury hampered his progress.
However, with no fitness issues raising their head so far, we can feel confident he is the man to lead the charge on our left flank.
The Norwegian international seems to thrive on the big pitch at Celtic Park, compared to matches away from home, and will likely be key to securing a result this evening.
Opening his account for the season last week was a real positive and raises hope he is set to provide a pretty large direct goal contribution total over the coming campaign.
In other news, Martin Boyle, a player Celtic have scouted in recent months, is set to sign a new contract at Hibs.
