Celtic supporters are enjoying themselves in Germany ahead of tonight’s big match against Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Europa League.
The Bhoys have already ensured UEFA Conference League qualification, but a positive result on the road tonight would go a long way towards making it into the knockout stages of this competition.
Many Celtic fans have made the trip abroad and as we showed you earlier, a new song for Ange Postecoglou has even had an airing. And more footage is coming out all the time, with the clip below from Twitter user @_sean_connor_ of a stunning rendition of Last Christmas really capturing the attention of the online support.
There have also been brilliant clips emerging online of fans welcoming the Celtic team buses to the stadium, like this one from @Ciaran8867, making it clear they have massive backing tonight.
That could be the kind of confidence that the team needs to take the game to the home side tonight. Everyone is expecting an open, attacking match, with Ange Postecoglou showing no fear with his team selection.
Given we managed to score three goals away to Real Betis, there’s no reason to think we can’t find the back of the net tonight. Yes, Leverkusen punished us in Glasgow but we had chances in that game too.
We’ll go toe-to-toe tonight and see where it takes us. We may well find out that this team has made excellent progress since the first match against the Germans. And if not, going down swinging will at least stand us in good stead for applying our football on other teams this season.
In other news, Celtic told it will take “huge bid” to land impressive defender in January.
