Moussa Dembele has told Tom Rogic to ‘have fun’ after the Celtic hero announced his retirement from football at the age of 30.
The midfielder’s final chapter of his trophy-winning career was for English Championship side West Brom, who he joined in 2022 after leaving Celtic.
The word ‘legend’ is an overused word in today’s game, but without a shadow of a doubt, Tom Rogic can comfortably write his name into the club’s Hall of Fame books.
Celtic themselves took to social media to just highlight the enormity of what the Australian had done at Parkhead, including lifting six League titles, as they posted on Twitter.
That post by the club got a response from another club legend, Moussa Dembele, who spent many a year with Tom Rogic.
The 27-year-old, who is now in Saudi Arabia playing under Steven Gerrard for Al-Ettifaq, wrote on his own Twitter account that Tom Rogic is ‘The ultimate Invincible scorer’.

Dembele reacts to Rogic’s retirement
“Wish you all the best in the future, my man! The ultimate Invincible scorer. Have fun brother,” wrote Dembele.
New chapter for new legends
The trophies are still coming in. The Trebles are still being delivered.
Whilst one club legend sets off into the sunset, there are others currently at the club who are writing their name into those priceless yet career-defining books.
Someone like Callum McGregor is already there, but this is where the likes of Kyogo Furuhashi and Matt O’Riley, just to name a few, join them by dominating the circuit in years to come.
