Former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele has taken to Twitter to celebrate the club’s nine-in-a-row triumph and poke fun at rivals Rangers.

The Lyon forward was an instrumental part of two title wins during our current run, making himself a derby specialist with seven goals in nine matches against the Ibrox side (Transfermarkt).

Since then he’s not been shy on social media, regularly bigging up the Hoops and laughing at the team across the city.

That was no different today, first posting a message revelling in the success of Neil Lennon’s Bhoys, saying: “Looks like its ANOTHER title celebration for Celtic. Smiling face with smiling eyes! CONGRATULATIONS Bhoys this is well deserved! CHAMPI9NS again! Amazing job done this season & history made again.”

He was then quick to turn his attention to a Chris Sutton tweet mocking Rangers, responding with his own hilarious message that stated: “Thought Rangers won the league last time the way they celebrated on derby day?! On the brighter note 13pts gap is still not bad compare to 39pts in the Invincible season.”

Dembele is, of course, correct to point out the massive advantage Celtic enjoyed over Rangers in 2016/17, with Brendan Rodgers’ outfit ending the campaign with a massive 106 points, drawing just four matches along the way.

The Frenchman’s old pal Odsonne Edouard has done a fantastic job of picking up where Dembele left off, ending the 2019/20 season with a sensational 27 goals and 19 assists (Transfermarkt).

With firepower like that still in the side, we can look forward to the club pushing for a tenth successive title next term.
