Moussa Dembele sends message to Celtic ahead of cup final vs Hibs
Former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele has taken to social media to wish the club luck ahead of today’s Scottish League Cup final.
Dembele won two League Cups with Celtic during his successful time at the club under Brendan Rodgers. He also scored in both finals.
Today he’s sent a short but sweet message to the Bhoys, stating on Twitter: “Good luck for the final 🙏🏾 @CelticFC”
The post has already been gratefully received by thousands of Celtic supporters who are delighted to hear from the Lyon forward.
The state of Celtic’s striking options today is yet to be known. Kyogo Furuhashi has faced a fitness battle all week to make it for today’s clash vs Hibernian. Ange Postecoglou was unable to make a prediction on his starting status on Friday.
It could well be we see winger Liel Abada played through the middle today. However, he did the job against Ross County, so there will be hope that Celtic can cope regardless.
What we’d do for a player like Dembele today!
Still, Celtic should be strong enough for the challenge of the Easter Road side who have their own problems heading into the Hampden clash. They have a caretaker manager for one thing.
A positive, intense Celtic performance should create the chances necessary to put them away and deliver Postecoglou’s first trophy as Bhoys boss.
Bring it on!
