Celtic have added PSG central-defender Moussa Sissako to a list of potential January targets, according to a report.
The Daily Mail, a trusted transfer source for Celtic stories, say that the teenage defender has been on our radar for some time after impressing in a UEFA Youth League game three years ago.

In their print edition (January 2nd, back page and continued on page 79) they say that Sissoko is well in Neil Lennon’s plans as he aims to sign as many as four new players during the month. The Mali youth international is under contract in Paris until the middle of 2021 but with little chance of making a first-team breakthrough he will be allowed to leave.
The Mail also say that there is likely to be interest from England where Brighton and Newcastle were linked in the summer, and the youngster’s decision “will be heavily influenced” by his chances of first-team football.

First-team guarantees could be key in Sissako move
If Sissako signed tomorrow then he would have only Christopher Jullien and Kristoffer Ajer ahead of him in the centre-back pecking order. Given that the latter struggled so much against Rangers on Sunday, the PSG man would surely fancy his chances of getting some sort of opportunity under Neil Lennon.
He’s also likely to look at the likes of Timothy Weah and, more notably, Odsonne Edouard who managed to create opportunities in Glasgow after effectively being frozen out at PSG.

If it’s a straight shoot-out between ourselves and the likes of Newcastle or Brighton then surely we would have to back our ability to offer him a shot at first-team football.
We need only cite the recent example of Edouard, Moussa Dembele and Jeremie Frimpong as a showcase of what we can do for young aspiring players.
There is clearly something in the Sissako rumours if the Mail and Stephen McGowan are reporting it. It’s one to watch closely this month.
