Celtic boss Neil Lennon has continued to be adamant about the Hoops’ recent 4-3 loss to Cluj. The Hoops boss has stated since the loss that Celtic didn’t deserve to lose the game.
“I don’t think we deserved to lose the game, but the cold light of day tells you we did. That is what hurts the most” he said recently, as reported by the National.
Now, in the run-up to the game against AIK, he has once more reiterated his belief that the Hoops should not have lost to Cluj.
“Didn’t believe we deserved to”

“We’ve lost one game – I didn’t believe we deserved to and that’s the harsh realities of the game” Lennon said, as reported by BT Sport.
In a way Lennon is correct. The Hoops had enough chances to win the game. However, you don’t deserve to progress in the Champions League if you concede four goals at home.
Time for manager to move on

It seems obvious that the result still irks the Celtic boss. However, perhaps now is the time for the Celtic manager to move on from that game.
The game is in the past. Even though the consequences of the defeat might be felt in the future, it is surely time for the club and Lennon to move on.
There are too many big games in the coming weeks for the Hoops to spend time dwelling in the past. Now is the time for the club to look forward.
