Celtic manager Neil Lennon has some advice for Leigh Griffiths. Griffiths is continuing his recovery from off-field issues which have kept him out of the game since last year.
Lennon has advised Griffiths to keep his head down and keep away from social media.
“He just has to ignore all the nonsense” Lennon said, as reported by the Daily Record.
“What he does best”

“The club and Leigh are doing all we can to get him back playing and doing what he does best. I’d prefer him not to react to it and to stay away from social media.”
It seems highly unlikely that Griffiths will make a return to first-team action this season. However, judging by Lennon’s comments he could be a regular once again next season.

Missed his contributions
The Hoops have certainly missed Griffith’s contribution in the second-half of the season. The side have been relying on Odsonne Edouard to do the lion’s share of the goalscoring. Hopefully that will change next season.

Lennon’s comments overall are worth noting. It would be for the best if more football players avoided social media.
However, it seems highly unlikely that is going to happen any time soon.
The club are doing the right thing in advising the Griffiths to ignore social media though. All at Celtic Park will be hoping that his return will be a success, but there are no guarantees.
