Celtic boss Neil Lennon has confirmed that things might change when it comes to team selection and tactics when the Hoops next face Rangers.

The Hoops were second best in the recent 2-1 loss to the Ibrox side, and he seems to be working hard to rectify that. Indeed, he has claimed to have watched the match four times to look at what could be done better.

“We need to look at how we set up and maybe change the way that we play to address the lack of pressure that we’ve put on them in the last couple of games” Lennon said, as quoted by Sky Sports.

“We’ve looked at the game three of four times now and there are aspects of the game – in terms of personnel or a change of formation – that we can work on.”

Lennon’s comments bode well for the rest of Celtic’s season, and the prospect of the Hoops making it nine in a row. It takes a good manager to learn from their mistakes, and that is what Lennon looks to be doing.

The fact that he has watched the game four times is notable. It shows that the Celtic boss can’t be happy with what he witnessed in the game at Celtic Park. To be honest, you can’t blame him. The Hoops were poor, and didn’t turn up for large parts of the game.

Judging by Lennon’s actions, that is not likely to happen when the teams meet again at Ibrox in March, or potentially before that in the Scottish Cup or Europa League. Of course, the proof will in the performance on the pitch.

However, Celtic seem determined to make up for letting Rangers into a title race which could have been all but over had the Hoops performed at Celtic Park a few weeks ago.
