Celtic boss Neil Lennon has a firm message for any clubs that are interested in signing any of the Hoops’ key players in January – they are not for sale.
With the transfer window set to reopen in less than a week’s time, there is no doubt that clubs will be interested in the likes of Odsonne Edouard and Olivier Ntcham, for example.
However, Lennon doesn’t want to sell any of Celtic’s most important players, and he has revealed that they are not for sale.
“We don’t have to”

“We don’t have to sell, and we don’t want to sell” Lennon said, as reported by the Scottish Sun.
“That will be the message, unless we get an out-of-this-world offer for somebody. We are content in the knowledge that the big ones won’t go anywhere” he said.
The majority of Celtic fans will be pleased to hear that with the club in the middle of a title race, there is no intention to sell any of the most important players.
Even if an ‘out of this world’ offer was made for Edouard, let’s say, in January, it would not be a good idea to sell such a key player. Especially at such a vital time of the season.
Some squad players may leave

There has to be a good chance that some players move on from Celtic in January. Squad players who haven’t been playing, for example the likes of Jack Hendry. A move away from Celtic would benefit both the player and the club.
Neil Lennon knows how important this season is for the Hoops. He is on the verge of clinching nine in a row, and taking Celtic one step closer to the mythical 10 in a row. With such an important milestone on the line, there is no chance of the Hoops selling off any of the team’s most important players in January.
