For Celtic to get the best out of Timothy Weah, they must start giving him a larger role in the team.
Weah has been a late substitute in recent games, and hasn’t made the same impact he was making when he signed.
Also, Weah must be used as a centre forward, where he is undeniably more effective.
Celtic are in danger of wasting the potential of a superstar in the making.

Weah should be enjoying a larger role in the team. He burst onto the scene and scored a fine goal against Airdrie on his debut.
His pace and poise playing through the middle made him an instant threat to Scottish defences.
It looked like he was preparing himself to be Celtic’s main man until the end of the season.
However, after a start against Hamilton, where he impressed briefly but not to his usual standard, Weah has seen himself left on the bench.
It is a shame because he’s a player with huge potential, who already has made a huge difference to Celtic.

Weah’s substitute cameo against St Johnstone showed his worth to this Celtic team. Chasing the game late on, Brendan Rodgers sent for the young American.
He came on, playing as a centre forward, and made the winning contribution for the Bhoys.
His superb assist for James Forrest to make the breakthrough was rewarded with a goal of his own late on.
He started and finished a sweeping breakaway move to seal Celtic’s 2-0 win.
The American repeated the feat at Kilmarnock shortly after. Coming on as a substitute and making the difference.
Albeit more subtly than in Perth, it was Weah’s cross that led to the corner that led to Celtic’s winner at Rugby Park.

Show him the Weah to goal
Neil Lennon must start putting faith in the young American to deliver the goods for him in the run in.
Weah’s pace can be terrifying through the middle. He has a knack of getting in behind defences and can get his shot away.
He is also extremely confident on the ball, and should be utilised in a much more central position.
His 10 minute cameo against Aberdeen saw him wasted on the right wing.
Celtic must play the boy in his natural position, and watch him fire us to the treble.
