Celtic’s 5-0 win over Hearts on Wednesday night coupled with Rangers’ 2-1 loss to Kilmarnock saw the Hoops move 10 points clear at the top of the Premiership table, in what must be one of the most memorable nights of the season so far.

It was certainly a memorable night for the Hoops support in the stadium, who roared the side on whilst revelling in the misfortune of Celtic’s title rivals.

One man who was quick to praise the Hoops support after the game was manager Neil Lennon. He offered some heartfelt comments about the Celtic fans to the club’s Twitter account following the victory.

“Best fans in the world”

The fans were amazing. Thank you for your support, and we’ll do everything we can to keep entertaining you. You’re the best fans in the world as far as I’m concerned” the Hoops boss said.

It could have been easy for some Celtic supporters to lose a bit of faith in the team, following the poor performance in the derby defeat to Rangers in December.

Team has responded to fans’ backing

However, the fans have backed the team, and the team have responded in style, going on a winning run of eight games in a row in all competitions.

The fans and team and staff all seem to be pulling in the same direction at the moment, and that can only help Celtic overall, as the Hoops look to clinch nine in a row.

Next up for Celtic is a trip to Aberdeen, no doubt the Hoops support will once more get behind the team.
