Neil Lennon has revealed the three players he’s held private discussions with since becoming the Celtic manager.
Lennon has now been in charge at Parkhead for over a week. Already, however, he has his eyes set on his third game since taking charge after a hectic week last week. Victories over Hearts and Hibernian in Edinburgh has helped sooth the Brendan Rodgers departure, as Lennon has had a successful start to his tenure.
Despite the success, however, Lennon is still trying to settle back in. The whirlwind nature of the last 1o days or so has rocked everyone. None more so than the Celtic manager, who’s still focused on getting his feet under the desk.

And, speaking to Celtic TV in an exclusive interview, Lennon revealed the three Hoops stars he’s already spoken with.
“Important to me, very important just to get to know them. Get to know what they think about the club, the environment, how they are playing and getting to know their personality really.
“I think it is important for a manager, not only to look at the player as a footballer but as a human being as well.
“I had a one on one with Kris, Dedryck, some of the injured boys as well and KT. Obviously, I know the likes of James, Mikael, Scott Brown, Tom Rogic. It’s been a nice transition into the job.”
An insight into what makes Lennon a great man-manager
This won’t come as a surprise to anyone. Lennon has clearly went through a bunch of players in the squad to get to know them individually. Despite only being here until the end of the season at least, Lennon is already looking to establish a strong bond.
Lennon’s man-management is one of the most attractive attributes to his managerial package. He’s such a naturally born motivator, and being a former Celtic captain and manager already, he knows the importance of getting to know the men behind the players.

It’s that kind of man-management that will have players running through brick walls for him. Whilst this might be a small detail in terms of the bigger picture, it shows the work Lenny is doing behind the scenes to get the players on-side.
Celtic have a massive match at home to Aberdeen on Saturday. It’s Lennon’s first match back at Parkhead as the Hoops boss. When he steps back into the Parkhead dugout, he’ll likely still have some names to go on his list for future individual meetings.
Let’s see in the coming weeks just how the players respond to that kind of personal touch.
