Neil Lennon could be in line for an incredible return to football management as reports circulate that he is in talks with former Greek champions, Olympiakos.

The Edinburgh Evening News claims that Lennon will speak to last season’s Greek champions within the next 72 hours. Olympiakos are currently in third place in the Greek Superleague, five points behind Panathinaikos, but still find themselves looking for a manager after former Real Madrid legend, Michel resigned last month.

Lennon has been looking for work since he was dismissed from Omonia Nicosia last year but it seems that the success he had with the Cypriot club has stood him in good stead. After winning the Cypriot Cup, Lennon guided the Cypriot minnows into the Europa League where he got to pit his wits against Manchester United.

The report also claims that Lennon is keeping an eye on the situation at his old club Leicester City. The Foxes have been struggling this season and find themselves in a relegation dogfight in the English Premier League.

Leicester parted company with former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers and are currently being looked after by interim boss Dean Smith until the end of the season.

Should Lennon be successful in getting appointed he will be the first British manager to be appointed at the Greek club since 1976.

Lennon certainly has what it takes to manage the Greek side. His success at Celtic, Hibs and at Omonia have proven that he is a winner and he would certainly handle the pressure that comes with joining a club like Olympiakos.

Olympiakos is a club that demands success. They currently hold 47 Greek titles, 28 Greek Cups and four Greek Supercups. Lennon is no stranger to that demand himself after he led Celtic to a Quadruple Treble and would relish the chance to restore the current Greek champions to the top of the table.
