Neil Lennon made the bold claim – in the aftermath of Celtic’s win over Cluj – that he thinks there is even more to come from his side.
The Hoops saw off the Romanian champions 2-0 through goals from Odsonne Edouard and Mohamed Elyounoussi as they avenged some of the memories from the recent Champions League defeat to the same opposition.
The win sees us top of Group E with four points from our opening two matches but, despite that, Lennon still thinks his side can improve further.

“We wanted a strong performance from the team and we got more than that,” he told the Sunday Post. “We were outstanding. My only disappointment was that we didn’t win the game by more.
“There was real solidity and fluidity going forward, we looked really strong and thoroughly deserved the win.
“I thought we were good in Rennes under the circumstances and Rangers away was a great performance so I am getting great performances from the team.

“I think there is more to come.”
Lennon will share the Celtic support’s hope
Lennon is not along in thinking that this current side still has a way to go. You look at the vast majority of the standout players from the victory and most of them still have scope for improvement.
Mohamed Elyounoussi is only going to get better as he gets more minutes in his legs and better used to his surroundings. The same can probably be said for the entire back four plus Fraser Forster who is starting to look like a very astute signing.

Added to that, Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie are still so young and have great potential, while Scott Brown, James Forrest and Callum McGregor have all been consistent stars for the past couple of seasons.
Perhaps the most pleasing aspect of our two group stage matches so far has been the maturity the team have shown. They’ve managed both games really well against two good European sides. It really does bode well for the future.
For the first time in a number of years there is a real excitement that a Celtic team could do something good in Europe.
